Position: Manager – Policy & Advocacy

Location: Delhi

Job Type: Full time core position

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Engage in designing, developing and executing policy advocacy related strategies and interventions.
    • Involve in networking, influencing and liasoning with individuals, groups, organizations, governmental entities and other key stakeholders for policy advocacy related causes.
    • Engage in issue based analysis & research related to policy advocacy.
    • Coordinate with regional teams and prepare/disseminate policy briefs on key educational issues and circulate the same with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Advise and provide technical support to the regional teams for developing policy advocacy interventions.
    • Engage in drafting advocacy documents such as reports, briefing notes and factsheets on relevant policy issues as and when required.
    • Share periodic policy advocacy updates and reports with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Represent AEAI-SA in, meetings, seminars, conference and workshops of interest to AEAI-SA and report back key policy and advocacy issues.
    • Support in the training and capacity building of regional teams on policy & research initiatives.

Qualification & Experience: : Individuals should hold a Post Graduate degree in the relevant stream and of the total experience that a candidate would possess, three to five years of experience should be in the domain of policy research & advocacy.

Competencies Required: Incumbent should possess good understanding on national, regional and global development issues. He/she should possess excellent communication skills; reporting, negotiating, influencing, coordinating, monitoring, time management and problem solving skills. He/she should also be proficient in computers skills. Should be able to travel extensively to project locations and other locations as per organizational need.

Salary Range: Monthly gross of around Rs.50,000 to 58,000 per month (in line with the compensation guidelines of the organization)
